Kicking off the second trimester, Upper School students performed All in the Timing as their Fall Play from December 5–7. This production featured a series of one-act plays by David Ives, exploring themes of time, language, and love. Students were tasked with playing multiple roles across the seven short plays.

For Kasen Orenstein ’27, taking on multiple roles allowed her to fully immerse herself in the production. “I had such a wonderful experience being a part of this play and got quite a few laughs out of it, whether I was doing my own scene or watching someone else’s,” Orenstein shared.

One of the challenges of staging seven short plays was the need to design a wide range of costumes, sets, and lighting. This required careful coordination and creative problem-solving.

While many actors played multiple roles, some students, like Ace Bairos ’27, took on additional responsibilities behind the scenes. “On top of acting, I also had the chance to work on the costumes for the show, which was such a rewarding experience, especially since I hope to pursue a career in fashion,” Bairos said. “I’m so grateful that Mr. Brown gave me this opportunity to explore my passion for fashion while contributing to the show, allowing me to explore two of my passions at once.”

Williams is a close-knit community, and theater productions offer students the chance to form connections beyond their usual friend groups. Sydney Caplan ’26 reflected on this unique opportunity. “It’s an amazing opportunity to connect with a variety of new people I may not have gotten to know otherwise. You get to form a tight-knit community and learn a lot from your director, friends, and cast members.”
