This two-week camp, held daily from June 22 through July 2, offers a balanced mix of outdoor adventure, athletics, creativity, and enrichment.

Summer Sticks Lacrosse

Spearheaded by boys lacrosse coach Mark Fader, this program is the longest-running camp in the Williams portfolio. Summer Sticks is a week-long lacrosse activity that emphasizes fun and skill development. Points of emphasis include shooting, movement, teamwork, and development of lacrosse IQ through drills, games, and age-appropriate play. The overall focus emphasizes fundamentals, confidence, and enjoyment, thereby creating a foundation for long-term growth.

Summer Kicks Soccer

Throughout the week, younger campers will build confidence and love for the game through fun, high-energy activities that emphasize skill development and play. Each day includes creative warm-ups, ball-skill games, passing and dribbling activities, and lots of small-sided games where players can experiment, move freely, and score goals. Campers will learn basic soccer skills in an encouraging environment led by coaches and older players, with plenty of chances to scrimmage, play with teammates, and enjoy the game. The focus is on learning through movement, teamwork, and having fun while developing comfort with the ball.

Summer Kicks Soccer

Middle school campers will experience a more structured, challenging week focused on building strong soccer fundamentals and understanding the game. Players will work on ball mastery, passing and receiving, foot skills, turning moves, and finishing through fast-paced drills and stations. Fitness is integrated with technical work to help players perform skills under pressure and fatigue. Daily sessions include offensive and defensive concepts, small-sided and full scrimmages, and guided coaching feedback to improve decision-making, positioning, and overall soccer IQ. The week is designed to push players technically and mentally while keeping training competitive, engaging, and game-realistic.

Mountain Biking

This four-day camp emphasizes skill development and riding progression throughout the week for riders of all skill levels. Key elements include bike safety, dynamic warm-ups, bike-body separation, braking, cornering, line choice, shifting and cadence, climbing and descending, wheel lifts, jumping techniques, and technical terrain riding. Emphasis will be on slow-speed skills at the start, with trail riding as the week progresses. On the fun side, on-bike games and competitions to implement skills will be featured.

Girls Basketball

Williams boys basketball coach Miles Daniels instructs and mentors middle school-age girls as they build confidence, skills, and basketball IQ with a strong player development emphasis. Players focus on shooting, ball-handling, defense, and team-play concepts through structured individual and small-group drills and competitive play. Emphasis is placed on improved effort, discipline, and personal growth within a supportive, team-driven environment.

Skillfully managed by Williams boys basketball coach Miles Daniels, this activity helps young players learn basketball fundamentals in a fun, age-appropriate setting. Players will develop ball handling, passing, shooting, movement, and defensive skills while learning teamwork and sportsmanship. Through skill-based activities and games, players will improve coordination and confidence, and grow to love and understand the game better.

Under the tutelage of Williams boys varsity basketball coach Miles Daniels, middle-school-aged boys will be exposed to guided emphasis that will sharpen fundamentals and improve game readiness. Players will work extensively on Shooting mechanics, ball control, defensive principles, and decision-making through group and individual drills and live play. Strong emphasis is placed on accountability, discipline, teamwork, and confidence-building in a competitive yet structured, supportive setting.

Archery for Beginners

During our week of Archery for Beginners camp, under the tutelage of instructor Roxanne Cislak, we will explore the parts of the bow, how they function, and why they are there. We will learn the theory of the 11 steps outlined by USA Archery that make up the shot process, as well as put them into action with plenty of time behind the bow. Each camper will also learn standard safety rules and whistle commands. Once we learn how to hit our target, campers will have an opportunity to score and shoot some fun targets.

Youth Tennis Program

Under the skilled guidance of tennis professionals from Lyme Shores Racquet Club, students are divided into groups based on age and playing ability. Each day, students participate in drills designed to improve strokes, develop good footwork, and foster healthy competition. Correct mechanics will be emphasized. The 6-to-1 student/instructor ratio affords an excellent opportunity to work with players of any age and ability, from the absolute beginner to the very advanced student.

Next Gen Art Creators

New London artist Jacob Cullers will introduce students to the fundamentals of drawing and painting as expressive tools. Through guided observation, students will work from still life, landscape, self-portrait, and interior spaces while learning core principles such as composition, value, light, color, volume, and perspective. Using a range of drawing techniques and painting methods, students will explore basic materials, styles, and image-making processes. In-class exercises and short projects will support skill development.

Under the guidance of New London artist Katie Fogg, students will review the fundamentals of acrylic painting while learning how to develop an image based on their own interests. TOEFL Preparation Course

In partnership with The Learning Consultants, we are pleased to offer a comprehensive TOEFL prep course. Instruction will be led by Dr. Kristina Knobelsdorff, a master English test pre teacher with extensive experience guiding multilingual students to high performance. Students will develop the full range of skills assessed on the TOEFL, including academic reading, structured listening, integrated and independent speaking and analytical writing. Students will also learn essential test-taking strategies, vocabulary development techniques and effective self-study methods tailored specifically to the TOEFL format.

SAT Boot Camp

Data Analytics - The Skill and Career Path of the Future

In partnership with The Learning Consultants, we are pleased to offer a dynamic data analytics course led by Zane Rooney, founder of Forward Education Company and an expert in applied data analysis. Designed for students who are still exploring academic and career pathways, the course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental skills of modern data analytics. Participants will learn the full data workflow – from gathering and cleaning data to transforming information into meaningful insights and compelling visual dashboards. Using tools such as Excel, SQL, and professional dashboarding platforms, students will develop both technical proficiency and the analytical thinking required to approach problems through a data-driven lens. By week’s end, students will have acquired valuable skills for college and beyond, along with the confidence to explore their interests in new and informed ways.

Inspirit AI Boot Camp

Inspirit AI is offering an in-person summer AI program, hosted at The Williams School, that teaches students in grades 6-12 fundamental AI concepts and guides them in building socially impactful projects such as safe ChatGPT bots, exoplanet searches, self-driving car systems, and more! Stanford and MIT graduates in AI will be present in person from July 13 to 24 to teach this course. Students can register using this link below.
