Boys Lacrosse League Champions
The Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team defended their Independent School Housatonic Valley Athletic League (HVAL) Championship title on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
The Blues trailed Harvey for the first three quarters, finally tying the score in the fourth quarter with a goal from Henry Champagne ’26. The game went into overtime when senior Cody DeLaurentis ’23 scored the final goal to clinch the game 12-11. Henry Gallagher ’25 had 26 saves in the goal.
Girls Soccer League Runners Ups
In a heated final game at Williams’ Athletic Complex, the first-seeded Blues took on Wooster School in the HVAL Championship Final. Phoebe Taylor ’23 scored two goals to put the Blues ahead at the half. With minutes to spare, Skylar Frost ’24 scored two tremendous free kicks to nearly bring the score level.
After the game, Coach Liam Tresnan ’15 shared, “It was such a joy to see these girls compete at such a high level this season. To see their hard work, their growth, and the team environment and camaraderie they created made me incredibly proud. Hopefully, we can see that continue into next year; going one step further and taking home the HVAL trophy!”
