Tekla Zweir serves as Arts Department Chair and Studio Art Teacher at The Williams School, where she has taught students in grades 6–12 for more than two decades. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts and her Master of Arts in Art Education from Boston University. A practicing artist as well as an educator, Ms. Zweir was a founding resident artist at Hygienic Art and has exhibited her work at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum, Mystic Museum of Art, Hygienic Art Galleries, and other venues throughout southeastern Connecticut. Her ongoing Coral Reef Project has been featured in solo and curated exhibitions, and she was selected for an artist residency at the Nantucket Island School of Design. Beyond the studio, she is certified in yoga and yin yoga and leads yoga and meditation opportunities for students, faculty, and the broader Williams community.
