An Independent College-Preparatory Day School for Grades 6–12 on the Campus of Connecticut College

The Williams School offers a personalized college-preparatory education in New London, Connecticut, for students in grades 6–12. As an independent private school serving families throughout southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island, Williams combines rigorous academics, close faculty relationships, and distinctive opportunities within a close-knit, inclusive community. Across the Connecticut College and Bloomingdale campuses, students are encouraged to pursue their interests, challenge themselves, and develop the confidence, independence, and skills to succeed in college and beyond.

Two Campuses. One Williams.

Williams students learn across two distinctive campuses in New London, Connecticut. Our main academic campus at Connecticut College combines the resources of a college setting with the close-knit community of an independent school, while nearby Bloomingdale expands opportunities for athletics, outdoor learning, and community engagement.

Connecticut College Campus

Williams’ main academic campus is located on the campus of Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut, combining the resources and atmosphere of a college setting with the close-knit community of an independent school. Students benefit from access to college-level facilities, academic opportunities, and the broader campus environment while receiving the individualized attention and support that define the Williams experience. Through the College Acceleration Program, students in grades 11–12 may also take Connecticut College courses and experience college-level academics before graduation.

Bloomingdale Campus

Less than two miles from our main campus at Connecticut College, Bloomingdale is a 200-acre campus for athletics, learning, outdoor exploration, and community engagement. The campus features turf and grass fields, miles of trails, the Rotolo Tennis Center, and a community building with spaces for classes, gatherings, and events. As Bloomingdale continues to grow, it provides Williams students with additional opportunities for athletics, experiential learning, and meaningful connection beyond the classroom.

Beyond the Classroom

Learning at Williams extends beyond academics through a vibrant arts and athletics program that helps students explore interests, build confidence, and strengthen creativity, teamwork, and leadership. Whether performing, creating, competing, or supporting their peers, students develop meaningful connections and experiences that enrich student life at Williams.
