Arts

Where Creativity and Confidence Grow

The Arts at Williams bring creativity, expression, and collaboration together in one dynamic program. Through visual and performing arts, students turn ideas into action, think critically, take creative risks, and develop confidence in their own voice while building the discipline, curiosity, and collaborative skills that enrich their education and prepare them to engage thoughtfully with the world around them.

Visual and Performing Arts Programs

At Williams, students explore creativity through dance, music, theatre, studio art, and photography. Across each discipline, they develop technical skills, confidence, collaboration, and creative expression while discovering their own artistic voice through hands-on learning and performance.

Dance

Discover the creative possibilities of dance at Williams. Open to students of all experience levels, our Dance program encourages students to build technique, strength, flexibility, and confidence while exploring improvisation, composition, choreography, and repertory. Guest artists, somatic practices, and performance opportunities expand the classroom experience, while students can participate in ways that reflect their individual interests and comfort levels. Upper School Dance courses are open to students in Grades 9-12, with placement based on experience and ability rather than grade level.
