The Williams School is excited to announce the upcoming construction of a new multipurpose building at the School’s Athletic Complex on Bloomingdale Road in Quaker Hill. This project has been in development for several months, involving extensive planning meetings with the Williams Board of Trustees and Centerbrook Architects and Planners to finalize the design.

The two-story building will be situated near the turf field, cleverly integrated into the existing hillside to enhance access for the School’s facilities team on the lower level and provide new gathering and classroom space on the upper level.

Head of School Mark Fader highlighted the project’s evolution, noting, “What started as a space for our facilities team has grown to encompass not only storage for maintenance equipment and supplies, but also event and  classroom space for our community, enhancing the Athletic Complex master plan.” Additionally, this new facility will provide a dedicated meeting space for coaches, athletes, and parents, fostering school spirit and enhancing our athletic events.

Mr. Fader also emphasized that the building will ensure a “year-round presence at the complex, available to local organizations, enhancing our community outreach.”
