International Students
A Diverse Community of Global Learners
The Williams School welcomes international students to our close-knit, college-preparatory community in New London, Connecticut. Students are challenged to pursue academic excellence while sharing their talents and interests through the arts, athletics, service, and leadership. Successful Williams students demonstrate curiosity, integrity, independence, and a willingness to contribute meaningfully to the life of the School.
As an independent day school serving students in grades 6–12, Williams partners with APEX International Education Partners to support international student recruitment and boarding services. Together, we help international students become part of the Williams community while pursuing a rigorous and personalized education in the United States.
Program Spotlight - Snack Chats
Snack Chats bring domestic and international students at The Williams School together each month to share cultural perspectives, build relationships, and strengthen intercultural understanding. Created by Sharon Gaudreau, Assistant Head of School for Strategic Enrollment Management, and Liam Tresnan ’15, Associate Director of College Counseling and International Student Program Coordinator, the program gives students an informal space to learn from one another.
Through these conversations and student-led cultural events, Snack Chats help foster a welcoming global community where students develop curiosity, empathy, and appreciation for different cultures.
