2024 Williams Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee

Charlotte Gotfredson '09

Charlotte, known as “Gotty,” was an exceptional athlete at The Williams School, excelling in multiple sports, particularly lacrosse and hockey. She achieved remarkable success by breaking the school’s women’s lacrosse scoring record, previously held by Sofie Malinowski ’04. Despite facing devastating knee injuries and tearing her ACL at a recruiting camp before her senior year at Williams, Charlotte displayed incredible resilience and determination. She was a captain and team leader, guiding and inspiring her teammates on and off the field. Despite not having an ACL in one of her knees, Charlotte’s impressive lacrosse career at Williams reached its peak as she shattered the all-time scoring record, leaving a lasting legacy of excellence.

Robert Kenyon '90

Robbie, a standout athlete at Williams, holds the honor of being the first all-state soccer player from the school. His exceptional skills on the soccer field were evident, scoring a total of 126 goals during his time at Williams, with an impressive and dominant 52-goal season in 1989 during his Senior year. Not only was he an outstanding player, but Robbie also served as a team Captain and undisputed leader, leading Williams soccer to a SENE Title and the New England Class D finals that season. During the mid-1980s, when Williams was still shaping its athletic identity, Robbie’s remarkable performance not only showcased his eye-popping statistics but also put the school on the map among New England independent schools. His contributions were exceptional, making him one of, if not the best, soccer player to have ever played for Williams, with numerous accolades, including all-league, all-state, and four-year lettering.
