Go Team

Our athletics provide the opportunity to develop individual leadership qualities and self-confidence, as well as physical competence.

Students increase their mental and physical skills, body control, endurance, and strength by competing with other students in both recreational and interscholastic endeavors. It is the hope of the Athletic Department that these experiences will foster good sportsmanship and lead to a lifetime of healthy living through regular exercise.

Levels of Teams & Commitments

Varsity

Varsity is our highest level of play and commitment. Students should start the season in proper condition, have the basic fundamental skills, and know strategies and all rules. Playing time at this level is earned in practices and not guaranteed to all players. Team commitment is 5-6 days per week.

Junior Varsity

Junior Varsity is focused on learning and developing fundamental skills, game tactics and knowledge, and rules. The junior varsity teams serve as building blocks for the varsity teams. Playing time is fairly equal and guaranteed to all players. Team commitment is 4-5 days per week.

Middle School

Middle School is based on students exploring various athletic opportunities. This level of play focuses on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. It is expected that all team members play in all games. With approval by the parents and Athletic Director, eighth-grade students who are very skilled in a sport may try out for an JV or Varsity team. Team commitment is 3-4 days per week.
